We are officially open, move-in ready, and so excited to celebrate that with the community that makes downtown Macon amazing!! On Friday, July 17 from 6 to 8 PM, we are throwing open the doors of 462 Cherry Street and inviting the whole neighborhood in.

Neel’s Grand Opening: Taste the Neighborhood is a free event built around two things: introducing you to the building and celebrating the block we get to call home. Whether you are curious about living here, just want to come hang out, or are looking for a reason to explore downtown, this evening is for you.

What to expect

We are keeping it simple and keeping it local. We’ll have samples of food and drinks from the businesses right outside our door.

Piedmont Brewery and Kitchen is bringing pulled pork sliders, Macon Water Ice is serving up wings, and Thai Smiles is joining us with a taste of their menu. JBA is running a full open bar all evening with beer, wine, and cocktails, so you are covered on the drinks side too.

While you are here, grab a Building Bingo card and explore the building. Find your squares, complete your card, and turn it in to be entered to win a full Mahjong starter set. Our team will be inside open units all evening for tours, so you can actually walk through a studio, a one-bedroom, and a two-bedroom and see what the space feels like in real life.

Oh, and one more thing: everyone who attends gets their application fee waived. If you have been thinking about making a move to downtown Macon, this is a pretty great time to come see what Neel’s is all about.
