On May 28, Neel’s Lofts held its official ribbon cutting ceremony at 462 Cherry Street, and downtown Macon showed up for it. Community members, local leaders, and future residents gathered to celebrate a project that has been turning heads since construction began.
Developed by H2 Capital, built by Piedmont Construction Group, and supported by community partner NewTown Macon, Neel’s Lofts brings 95 luxury loft residences to the heart of downtown alongside an on-site coworking space, two retail spaces, and one restaurant space. Residential units are move-in ready now, and commercial spaces are available for lease today.
The ceremony featured remarks from James Fritze, President and CEO of NewTown Macon, developer Robbo Hatcher of H2 Capital, and Mark Lumsden, Project Manager at Piedmont Construction Group. Hatcher cut the ribbon with Fritze and Lumsden at his sides.
“Neel’s Lofts is the kind of project that gives people a reason to plant roots here,” Fritze said. “We have been working toward a downtown where people do not just visit, they stay.”
“We built something here that Macon deserves,” Hatcher added. “A place where people can live well right in the middle of everything they love about this city.”
This ribbon cutting is just the beginning. Neel’s Lofts will host its official grand opening later this summer. Follow @neelslofts to be the first to know the details, and visit neelslofts.com to tour, view floor plans, and apply today.
